The commissioning of the Owunna Recreational Park will take place in Imo state university on Tuesday, 23rd September, 2014. According to the invitation:

Built by Chief Peter Sunday Owunna Memorial Foundation (Founded 1993).
Under the distinguished chairmanship of his Lordship Most Rev. Dr. G.O. Ochiagha (Emeritus Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese).

It was formally known as Love garden but then the "garden" in the name seemed out of place because of the way place looked. It was just a piece of land with patches of grass and a few trees and old concrete seats.
But within about six months, that same place has become a land beautified with green grass and assorted trees. Well paved tracks and new seats. Even solar powered lights.
The name has also changed from "Love Garden" to "Mazi Owunna Recreational Park". This is in honour if the man who has spearheaded the total transformation of the garden, who is also the Pro-chancellor of Imo State University, Mazi Clement Owunna.
